Leroy and Florence Thompson

Rev. Leroy Thompson trusted Christ in the summer of 1978. He entered the Gospel ministry in 1992, having served as an intern at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kingston Jamaica. In 1994 he felt the Lord’s call to Darliston, Jamaica where he organized and served the Darliston Baptist Church from 1994 to December 2021. During that time his ministry included: concurrently pastoring the Nightingale Grove Baptist Church from 2000-2004; teaching at the Fairview Baptist Bible College 2008-2020; speaking at camps; serving as chairman for 17 churches in Western Jamaica; serving on the national executive board of the Association of Independent Baptist Churches in Jamaica.
In 2021 he felt the Lord was re-assigning him. This re-assignment led him to the state of Florida, where the Lord directed him to fill the position as IGM Mission’s Field Coordinator to the Caribbean and the Underserved.
Rev. Leroy is a graduate of the Fairview Baptist Bible College in Jamaica; Clarks Summit University and Baptist Bible Seminary of Pennsylvania. He has been married to his dear wife, Florence, (Flo), since 1994 and they have three adult children in Jamaica.
