Verse: Matthew 16: 18 «And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.»

I would like to write this quarterly report with the words of the song “So sweet is the name of Jesus”.

A few months ago, I was wondering what’s wrong; why was it that all our evangelization efforts were not yielding results and the church was not growing in number.

I was almost to discouragement when one morning while praying, the Lord said to me: “do what is your own and let me do mine.” That’s when I remembered this song.

The second stanza says: “I love this name in sorrow, It sustains me on the path, Its music is a divine sound, Precious name of Jesus! »

So I liked this name, it supported me on the path and I kept it carefully. Today I can say, like the refrain of the song: “Jesus! Blessed be your name! Jesus! Oh! wonderful gift! Jesus! Supreme ransom, Be adored forever.

Family:

Yes, the goodness of the Lord has been shown to us over the past few months so far. We have been protected, supported and led in ministry; God has provided many needs through many of you who support us financially. We have also been encouraged by your prayers on our behalf and this is an opportunity for us to reiterate our deep gratitude. God bless you abundantly!

I thank God for my health and that of all the members of my family; and for the care with which he surrounds us.

Ministry:

We give thanks to the Lord because, following our multiple evangelization outings, a couple joined us at church, with their four children.

Besides them, there are two other ladies who come without their husbands for the moment.

The Lord responded at the time decided by him, may the glory be to him.

On July 26, we held the first Bible study session that I had planned to begin at home, my living place. At this first session, there were 20 adults and 10 children, all my neighbors from the neighborhood were there.

Prayer topics:

Please pray for:

– Pray that newcomers will be faithful to God and attend church meetings regularly;

– Pray for the good continuity of these two programs;

– God’s protection over me in the exercise of my ministry in Cotonou and Calavi;

– Our projects:

Ø Opening a center for deaf and mute children and adolescents, with learning or training centers within it; center where we will teach them to read and write, then guide them in learning a profession of their choice;

Ø Sewing training center for orphaned or vulnerable young people;

These centers will in fact be places where the gospel will be permanently preached, biblical training will be provided, there will also be literacy sessions for those of them who have not had the chance to go to the ‘school.

– The Lord’s provision to equip our church with keyboards and sound equipment;

– Pray also for our personal needs, my family and me.

Florence and I appreciate you support; Thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Jean and Florence Houeto, thanks for supporting us!
