Dear IGM Friends and Supporters,

Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

The above verses from Paul’s letter to the Philippians expresses the joy of my heart to have been a part of IGM since 2005. As we look forward to the finish line, we are assured of God’s presence and power as well as His fulfillment of a promise to complete His saving work in our lives. That should motivate us to say with the Apostle in Philippians 3: 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. As we move towards the finish line, let us be encouraged to continue serving the Lord until Jesus comes.

We are celebrating 22 years of God’s faithfulness to our Blessed Hope Christian Churches this year, 2022. Looking back, the Lord has been faithful to have been with us in our church planting ministry. It all started in BHCC Molino in Bacoor, Cavite Province through the leadership of my Mom & Dad, Rev. Dr. Samuel and Miriam Comising, in 2000. Then I pioneered BHCC Dasmarinas, Cavite in 2004 and together with my father pioneered BHCC Gaswiling in the mountains of Benguet Province in 2009. In the next 10 years, we started BHCC Bagumbong in Caloocan city, BHCC Navotas and BHCC Minuyan in San Jose Del Monte city Bulacan. We are looking forward to planting BHCC Imus which was interrupted by the pandemic and more BHCC Churches to follow as the restrictions are being lifted and there is more freedom to travel and to do face-to-face ministries.

We have baptized six additional members during the first quarter, and we will baptize another six additional members as we conclude the second quarter this month. Our ministry in Dasmarinas II Central School where my wife, Sarah, teaches has grown and multiplied. My wife has not only started cell groups with the teachers but has included the parents and the pupils. We launched our face-to-face Sunday school for children this month and children from our neighborhood and those from the school are flocking to attend every Sunday. We are hoping to conduct home Bible studies with their parents, also, as our government has allowed 100 % public gatherings. We also hope and pray to resume our values formation program in government offices and all high schools and colleges and universities.  We are continuing with our livestream every Sunday as our overseas listeners have requested its continuance and for those who still cannot attend our face-to-face gatherings. We have revisited and renewed our vision for a three-day leaders’ retreat in the cold mountains of Baguio city last March. As a result, we have resumed full swing our Discipleship focus on all our ministries: Children; Young Teens; Young People; Working Youth; Couples; Music. We will have another evaluation and planning retreat with all church leaders this weekend to look at our accomplishments from January to June and to finalize plans for the last two quarters of 2022.

Regarding my family: my wife Sarah is beginning to feel the toll of her job in her body. She has not been well in the past two weeks. It seems that her asthma is coming back due to the very hot climate and the exhaustion from daily work. We will go back to her pulmonologist for a checkup. My daughter, Esther, has been very sickly also. She has experienced anxiety and depression during the pandemic and has been very weak. We are praying for the restoration of her health so she could resume her plans to go back to her graduate studies. My son, Elijah, needs one more semester and an OJT to graduate in his Information Technology course. My eldest son, Ezra, is doing well in UAE with his job as a writer for a New York-based company. My youngest, Samuel Joseph, will finish grade three and is moving to grade four. I am continuing my medications with my chronic kidney disease because of my diabetes. I praise the Lord for continually allowing me and my family to serve Him despite all our sicknesses and weaknesses.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and financial support. The Lord has answered our long-requested prayer for a brand-new 21-seater van which we will use for all our ministries. Please continue to pray that we will be enabled to pay the monthly amortizations. Praise the Lord also for a secondhand car which I will be able to use for my transportation. The Lord has also provided our need to install air conditioning units in our church due to the long, very hot climate. The Lord has answered also our prayers for the lifting of all restrictions so we could continue all our ministries.

Please continue to pray:

  1. Healing of our sicknesses and the Lord’s provision for our medications
  2. Monthly payments for our brand-new van
  3. Salvation of the teachers, parents, and pupils in our cell groups, home Bible studies, and Sunday school
  4. Opportunities to open and resume Values Formation Classes to government offices, high schools, colleges, and universities
  5. Success of our church planting: BHCC Imus, Cavite
  6. Healing of our Elder Rey Del Rosario from cancer of the blood and our member, Jinky Geronimo, from cervical cancer
  7. Revival through our Cottage Prayer meetings in all homes of our members
  8. Baptismal service on Saturday June 25, 2022
  9. Evaluation and planning with all church leaders
  10. Peaceful inauguration of our new President and moral & economic recovery of our country
