DEAR FRIENDS,
“Wherefore, he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” Hebrew 7:25.
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance” Luke 15:7
We are all sick in the house with malaria. However, my throat has become swollen and hurtful. It was hard for me to talk for several minutes. The doctor did not tell me what the problem is. I am under prescription and I will be going back to see him soon. I noticed that I have preached and taught for many hours so far this year.
My wife and our daughter, Deborah, had a training craft class for some of the teenagers from the church. They taught them how to use local materials to make earrings, bracelets, and necklaces and how to decorate sandals. These teenagers loved and enjoyed it.
How would you feel when after preaching or teaching, a nine-year-old girl came to you and told you that she wanted to give her life to Christ? Oh, you know it. This young girl walks about 3 miles one way to church each Sunday morning. What a blessing to see the joy on the face of this little girl each time she comes. The same thing happened the following week when a young woman came to our house and asked my wife and I more questions about life after here. She knelt down in our living room and confessed Christ as her personal Savior. Please continue praying for their spiritual growth. As you can read, it is a great blessing to know that the Lord is still at work drawing souls to Himself as He said in His Word.
What great joy will be for all of us, when we are in the presence of the Lord and see all these souls the Lord reached and saved through all our efforts! Thank you so much for the great part you are having in this ministry of the Lord in this part of the world.
All the other pastors and their families are doing well. We are currently having one of the orphans living with us in the house. The rest of the orphans are doing well, too.
All the bricks for the second church’s concrete foundation building in Sokode, a Muslim town, have been made. The church has cultivated some maize crops on the rest of the parcel. Therefore, we are waiting until after the harvest to put these bricks in the ground for the foundation of this church.
Praise the Lord for providing a motorcycle for Pastor Noagbe to use for the ministry in Kpalime’s area. This tool is much need and the Lord made it.
The Lord has provided in a wonderful way for the well and for other personal family needs. We now having running water in the house. We do not need to wait anymore for the rains and to go out to buy water, carrying it on the head to the house. We are so thankful to Him and very thankful for each one of you who prayed and contributed financially for these needs. The Lord always intervenes at His right time. May His Name be praised forever.
“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations”. Psalm 89:1.
Please, continue praying for the COVID-19 pandemic in the world and especially in our country, Togo. All the churches have been shut down again for a month, starting September 10th. Officially, the statistics of COVID-19 in the country as of September 7th are 22,625 positives, 17,669 healed, 4,759 actives and 197 died. We can no longer visit some places in the country if we are not vaccinated. Sorry to say, some of us do not understand why they are closing the churches if these figures they are giving are right for the population of the country is over 7,000,000. Another thing we do not understand, the country does have sufficient vaccinations to cover the population. OUR GOD IS IN CONTROL!
Again, we are very thankful to each one of you. May His blessings be upon all.
In the Service of King of Kings,
Pastor Paul & Nicole ASSIGNON
