Greetings in the precious Name of Jesus Christ.
We are very thankful to God for His many blessings on our lives over the past three months. As you may know, there was an explosive eruption of the volcano on our island just over two months ago. Our lives and ministry have not been the same since that day.
We are serving the Lord in an area called the Red Zone. After the eruption, every living thing in that zone had to be evacuated to the Yellow or Green Zones. We are living in the Orange Zone. As a result of the eruption, our services and fellowship have changed. We have not had normal fellowship. All of the believers had to be relocated and some may not return to live in the area. It may take months to more than a year before living conditions return to normal.
I was serving as an elder. I was responsible for the Sunday school ministry and also advised the pastor regarding important issues in the church. The adult class I taught had about 12 persons on an average Sunday and the church attendance ranged in the mid-twenties.
Please pray that we will be able to return to the area sooner than the government is expecting. We have some structural work to do on the building after we get back into the area and begin rebuilding the ministry.
