Dear Praying Friends,

I want to start my letter with this Scripture verse: I John 2:28, “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” I have had some days of struggling, but I have never doubted the Lord’s grace and love to me.  I wish I could report some fulfilling ministry that I have, but due to COVID and my own physical condition, I am limited.  I am faithful to my church and seek to be a blessing to those around me.

In January of this year, I had severe pain in my chest area and called 911.  I was initially told it was not my heart, but in March, my doctor scheduled me for a stress test just to be sure.  Before the scheduled test, I had another issue with my heart and was admitted to the hospital in Macomb.  When I arrived at the hospital, I was told that I had done my own stress test!  They transferred me to a hospital in Quincy, which is a little over an hour from Macomb, where they did a heart catheterization the next day.  They discovered that I had a 99% blockage in one of my arteries, and a stent was put in.  The doctor said he didn’t know why I hadn’t had a major heart attack, but I do!  During this time, I told the Lord that I was willing and ready to go home.  What peace He gives in these times.  Amazing! I’m thankful for the Lord’s protection and seek to continue to serve Him however He chooses to use me.  I am now doing physical therapy several times a week, in relation to my cardiac issues and to help with my back and mobility issues.  I would appreciate your prayers that this therapy will help me be able to get around better.

Even though my dear husband, Lon, is in heaven, I realize it is his legacy and faithfulness to the Lord that leads you to continue your faithful ministry to me with your prayers and support.  I pray for you regularly and ask the Lord to bless you abundantly.  I seek to be worthy of your confidence in me.

My Love to You and in Lon’s Memory,

Janice Springer
