I will extol thee, my God, O king; And I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And his greatness is unsearchable. –Psalm 145:1-3
I never cease to see the greatness of our God and King. It seems as though I have been looking through my biblical grid rather frequently these days. This worldwide pandemic makes me reflect and ask, “God, what are You trying to show us through this thing called coronavirus?” Our God seems to always work through His creation. There were Adam and Eve who He judged because of their disobedience to His Word – Genesis 3. Then He destroyed the earth with a terrible worldwide flood – Genesis 6. Then there was God’s judgment upon the gods of Egypt through the plagues of blood, frogs, flies, cattle, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and death of the first born – Exodus chapters 7-12. God will judge the disobedience and false gods of the unregenerate man. The examples are numerous! God tells us what needs to be done to stop His judgment and the examples are also numerous. 2 Chronicles 7:13–14 13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Notice that it is not anyone else, but His people. If you are truly a child of God, then you are one of God’s people. It is the believers who need to examine their heart. I praise His Name that He loves us so much that He takes the time to get our attention.
IGM staff have not stopped their activities of serving and helping national pastors and their people around the world which is IGM’s essential responsibility. We have prayed with many a pastor here in the US as well as those we serve in 26 countries.
In spite of the pandemic, it is through your response that many have been reached with the love of Christ (John 13:34-35) which is being manifested to many pastors and people. A grand total of over $13,659 has been received through world relief and over 60 pastors have received funds in 8 countries. The funds are being used to purchase food to feed the hungry. Our country has spent trillions of dollars to get us well and to get our economy up and running. Many a country has spent very little on its people and only cares for their elite.
Below are pictures of what is going on outside of the United States through pastors and local churches who are reaching out to feed as many as possible with the ultimate goal of seeing many come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! Thank you so much for your generosity and if the Lord burdens your heart, your further gift will be used in the same fashion since requests keep coming.
