Dear Prayer Partners & Supporters,
Beloved in the Lord, it is always a joy to connect with you. I am so grateful how you always are concerned of us and of souls to be brought to the saving knowledge of Christ. Your love to us is so much appreciated, beyond words to express really. Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
MINISTRY UPDATES:
BLESSINGS/PRAISES: I thank God for His Word and unfailing promises. His guidance through the Holy Spirit Who gives direction and joy. The Heavenly Father’s presence and answer to so many prayers. The Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ intercessory and mediating ministry for us believers. Because of our God and His grace, I recognize that I am strengthened everyday both physically & spiritually. When I feel anxious, God reminds me that many are praying for me especially at IGM and my local church. God never abandons us, He is ever present, His Word abides. In Church, I have a number of friends and members who have gone ahead to Heaven, sometimes they put tears in my eyes. And again, migration to other places and cities for seeking out jobs. Some went overseas as domestic helpers or workers. My ministry is to teach them while they are in church praying that they’ll be equipped so that they be able to share the Gospel wherever they transferred location and most especially be faithful to Him.
Bibles: Pastor Dave & Sue Spaugh surprised my family beautiful Bibles last December sent by mail. They are giant print and the most beautiful Bible I ever own. I thank God for answer to prayers.
CALAMITIES: Trials, testings of faith. Romans 5:3-5 “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”
Recently, our province was declared to be calamity area because of ASF disease for swine. My community is so disturbed, our backyard hogs were culled. I only have 1 hog with 11 piglets. It’s time to put on God’s strong emotion to empathize with the people and pray. Our government promised to pay but they tell people to wait for 40 days. Until now pigs are hidden, people continue to butcher. Every barangay there is animal quarantine and lockdown of swine but restlessness among the people continue.
The number of earthquakes that rocked our province left one wall of our old building collapsed. The carpenters are trying to repair using bigger bars. Once in a while there are still weak tremors. Our nearby towns and Digos city was hit the most with a lot of broken buildings. Many people are still in evacuation centers awaiting their relocation site by the government.
These calamities remind us that we are very temporary creatures on earth with an eternal soul. They are God’s faithful ways to propel us to seek Him always and for the lost to hear The Gospel.
PRAYER:
1. spiritual growth of the church to be able to share and be fruitful Christians
2. day school students and parents salvation.
3. Summer [April and May 2020] activities for children and young people. May God strengthen us and pray for many be reached through DVBS. All the evening activities in church were cancelled because of the earthquakes and power outages. We are praying for the youth camp.
4. New building needs $5,000. to complete the dividers, ceiling, windows, flooring, doors and stair. I am praying that God will provide this need before the school opening in June 2020. We are also praying for computers because they were damage by the earthquakes.
Today 1 of our Completer grade 10 is very thankful that he is very sure he found salvation in Christ in school. Two boys also from grade 8 are beaming with happiness for their new found faith. Praise God!
May you be protected from many pestilences and harmful diseases. May your health be strengthened and prayers be answered. May your family continue to serve our Lord. May the Lord continue to bless and guide every one of you, especially at this moment of many trials. Maranatha! Anytime our Saviour will rapture us, we will be taken by our Redeemer Jesus Christ and someday we will meet if not here, on that everlasting bliss. What a blessed Hope! But while He awaits for many more to come to repentance, let us continue to trust and work for Him. Take care brethren, I am praying for you!
