Dear Friends and Partners,

Greetings come to you in the name of our Lord. Thanks for your continued prayers and support for our works here in Liberia.  As we come to the end of the year, the Lord has been good to us. My family and I are doing well since Rose and I returned from her medical trip in Accra, Ghana. We are again grateful to those of you who made substantial contributions toward this trip. Rose is doing much better. Our daughter Gifty, who suffers from ulcer has not had an attack since September, Praise the Lord. Our son Mac, who is in Rwanda studying, will be graduating in December. Mac suffers from depression, but has been doing well since he returned to Kigali in June from vacation. One of our orphans, Dax Johnson, who suffers from sickle cell is doing well  for the last three months.  We are happy to report that all the kids are in school-thanks for your support. I was unable to get visa to travel to the US this  year due to refusal by the  embassy.

The church is preparing for its year end activities in December. The  last baptismal class just started. We are happy to report that the Lord answered the prayer for drinking water at the Todee School. With the help of Life Water, a local Christian NGO, a new hand pump was constructed on the campus. The children now have safe drinking water.

The AWANA Children Ministry has just resumed with 73 kids in attendance. The annual Children Day Program is slated for Saturday and Sunday, November 23, and 24. The Children Day program is an annual children events that brings together more than 200 kids for a time of games, Bible quizzing, songs, Bible recitation and fun.  The Children Ministry (Sunday school, AWANA and the School system) is a key component of our ministries here at Calvary.  Sunday school lesson for this quarter is focused on Bible teaching on the Last Days, with emphasis on Israel, the Rapture, the Tribulation, and Millennial.

The Bible College (Jake Memorial Baptist College), is preparing for another graduation in early in 2025.  The new campus is now completed as we plan to move by 2025.

One of our main challenges this year is the damage to our vehicle (CBC-1). In 2015, while in the US, we bought a Toyota Sequoia (2002 model). I have used the car for the past nine years. Two years ago, it developed engine problem and we changed the engine. But now, the engine has started to smoke causing embarrassment to put in the street.  It is completely out of use. Please join us as we trust the Lord to provide us with a new vehicle for the ministry. With the present economic situation in the country, which has greatly affected tithes and offering, the church cannot afford to get us a new vehicle now. A good used vehicle (SUV-Jeep) in the USA will cost between $5000 to $6000 USD excluding shipping cost.

Prayer Request

Please pray for:

  1. A new vehicle
  2. Family health
  3. The Church
  4. Visa to travel to the US in 2025

Yours in His service: Rev. Dr. G. Larque and Roseline Vaye
