Dear Friends,

“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:3

The Lord made it possible for me to visit the States once again. Nicole could not make it this time because her visa was denied for no clear reason. All we know is that our Lord is in control.

I am having opportunities to visit some churches, explaining the ministry back home, teaching, and preaching. Right now, I am in Georgia.

The pastors back home and their families are doing well. Let me share a few of their reports.

From Pastor Bruce, Lome

A man named Joseph had an illness he did not understand. Medical tests revealed nothing. Medical treatments made his health worse. He hardly slept at all. He drank with difficulty. He barely ate. He couldn’t speak. He came to church with his cousin who invited him. We started by praying. The ailments he suffered from have now disappeared. He is healed. He is grateful to God and gives his testimony in front of the church. Joseph has six children. He needs your prayers.

From Pastor Senghor, Sokode

Three people gave their life to Christ.

From Pastor Seck, Sokode

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.” Deuteronomy 8:2-3

Family: God is the One Who changes the times and the circumstances. Let us remember that there is a time for everything. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 This is our family verse. We do not complain for God assures us that He is faithful and that everything works together for good to those who love Him. We always give thanks to the Lord for His grace upon the life of the children and for His presence in all that we undertake.

Ministry: We lift up our hands to thank Him for the harvest to which He has called us. The ministry is going well, and the work is proceeding normally. Sunday mornings are reserved for services. Wednesdays and Fridays we have Bible studies and prayer. Saturday we have AWANA, musical team, and cleaning the church building.

Two people accepted the Lord as their personal Savior through door-to-door evangelism.

Six people were baptized on Easter Sunday.

We continue giving out tracts in the area followed by Bible correspondence courses.

Difficulties: False teachers teaching on the radio are causing confusion for the new believers.

Requests:

The foundation of the building is done. Please continue praying that the Lord will provide for the building’s concrete walls.
For the spiritual and numerical growth of the church

From Temple Shalom, Kara

The church continues meeting at the usual time. I have good reports and thank the Lord for the team leading the church. We have 12 candidates going through the baptismal class right now.

I am glad and really blessed to be seeing some of you during my visit to the States this time.

We are so grateful to the Lord for bringing each one of you and a few churches on our way so that in one spirit and in one hand we can continue in this ministry He has for us in Togo, West Africa.

May His blessings be upon all of you.

In the Service of the King of Kings,

Pastor Paul and Nicole Assignon
