Dear Friends,
We had a mild winter, but I am still so thankful that spring has arrived with birds chirping and flowers pushing through the ground. I enjoy sitting on my little patio, thanking God for so much beauty. Weather patterns all over the world have changed, with so many storms. I know God has a message for us.
I am so thankful too, for the word of God to guide and comfort and give me hope for each new day. The following scripture is precious to me. “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength in whom I will trust” Psalm 18:2.
I am also very thankful for each of you reading this letter and the impact you have had on my life by your friendship, prayer, and financial giving. Even though He has promised to take care of our needs, I marvel at his goodness and faithfulness in using you to help me. You certainly help to ease the burden. I seek to be worthy of the confidence you have in me.
My health is about the same, my walking is still an issue. I can walk with a shopping cart in the store, and I use a walker in my home. I thank the Lord almost constantly for guiding my steps. I can still drive which is a blessing as I am able to help some family who can’t drive.
I love my little church, the pastor, and friends there. Lon and the pastor were friends and sometimes his preaching reminds me of Lon. How I miss Lon and hearing him preach. I seek to be a blessing in my church, I want to be an encourager by praying for their needs and by sending cards and visiting when I can. I close with this verse in 1 John 2:28 ” and now little children ‘Janice’ abide in Him that when he shall appear we ‘Janice’ may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming”. I am thankful for my family here; we try to get together weekly which is a blessing and fun. I delight in spending time with the two great grandchildren who live close. My daughter Lonna and son in law Lee, who live in North Carolina, will be with me in May. I am looking forward to time with them.
With love and a very thankful heart for each of you.
