The Lord brought into our midst a new family. The wife teaches in a medical school here in our town. Nicole could not sleep the last two nights because of her pains. This woman contacted a doctor for us and I took Nicole there around 8 pm last Monday. We came back after 11 pm. The doctor took time to question Nicole and did some examinations. He said it will be a long process and we will spend a lot of money because we do not have health insurance. Nicole has to do several medical tests and they are very costly. He said that we would spend about $1,000 just for the medical tests. The first one she will be doing in Lomé, the capital city, is one of the scans, and costs about $400. He already prescribed seven different medicines, which cost more than $70. Maybe Nicole will go through surgery depending on the results of all these tests. The way he explained the process, the total expenses would be around $2,500. As mentioned above, he said that we would not spend this amount if we had health insurance but unfortunately, we do not have health insurance. We come to you asking you to continue praying with us for her to get out of this pain and for the Lord to provide for the finances. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16c
