Dear Ministry Partners,
Thank God for His promised love, presence, care, and compassion in this present evil world. We know that Satan has much to do with our current world (Ephesians 2:2). The world in which we live is not a friend of grace! We are reminded in Hebrews 11 that our spiritual forefathers lived, successfully, in a similar world of their day. Hebrews 12:1 tells us that their lives witness to us that spiritual giants can live and prosper in an unfriendly world. The way that we do it is by keeping our eyes fixed on Him. Heb. 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”
We have been told that this is going to be a “long, dark winter”. Light shines the best and brightest in the deepest darkness. God has made us to be lights in this world. How is your light shining? This can be a great harvest time for the Lord. In Romans 5.3-5, “tribulation worketh patience and patience … hope:” Our hope is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We need to share that hope with everyone around us.
This has been a hard time for small churches. Older people are afraid of covid and have quit going to church. It has gotten easier to stay home and watch their church services online. I have spoken with pastors who have told me that giving has subsequently suffered. Because of these two factors, our ministry has suffered. As of now, there are no opportunities to minister on the horizon. I have seen where other ministries have suffered similarly. Our heart burns to minister for the Lord. Please be praying for churches, pastors, and our ministry.
We are staying busy with a very active community Bible study where we live. There is indication that there have been salvations. There is also a very active spirit of participation in our studies.
My health issues have been resolved but it seems to be Ruth’s turn. Ruth just had a successful back surgery but the recovery was difficult until two days ago when she “turned the corner”. She still needs to have a pancreas issue resolved and a shoulder replacement. Please be praying for her.
We are so grateful for our prayer and financial supporters without which this ministry could not function. You are more needed now than ever.
May God bless each of you and make you a light for Jesus in a dark world.
