THE DAY WHEN EVERYTHING CHANGED, SUMMER, 2020
I like what Paul says in Colossians 1:2 “To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” ” For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;” (Colossians 1:9-10).
Thank you for being so faithful to pray for us! We have had a couple of days just like my title! God sold our house on April 27! There weren’t any houses to buy in our area that were reasonable so we put all of our things in storage and moved in with Janelle. We had been there for two months when the realtor called to tell us about a house in the area, small and only 14 years old! We praise God, for He is good and takes care of His children! “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17. The closing date is August 4. Another change is that some of the churches are opening up, allowing 50 people at a time, so different from what we are used to doing! Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, PEI finally opened the borders to each other so we can go to see our son, Joshua, and family. We will visit this week, Lord willing. Most of Canada, though, still has travelling restrictions. Times certainly have changed!
I have been listening to pastors, teachers, ministry leaders speaking about how we have to change how we minister to people. We are grateful for all of the electronic tools that we have to be able to do that. We can call, use face time, Skype and emails to stay in touch. The Bible says to have fellowship and to meet together and we think it is amazing to see how all of us have adjusted to obey God! We are praying that there will be much fruit because of how people are out of their comfort zone in so many ways.
Thank you so much for praying for us!
May God bless you as you carry on for Him!
