May 2020
DEAR FRIENDS,
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:4, 6.
Who could imagine that this year, at this time, things would be like this? This time last year, we were in the States visiting some churches. The Lord is always faithful and He is in control of every situation in our life. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28. What a joy and comfort to know that our Heavenly Father is in full control of every circumstance. There are no coincidences in our life, only God’s providence.
The family is doing well except Nicole who is still having back pains. One of our daughters was sick. She is recovering and we are very thankful to the Lord.
All the pastors and their families are doing well, too.
The coronavirus, as you know, has shot down most of our activities. The churches are closed until the end of next month. According to our government, this virus has killed 11 people out of 219 and 96 have recovered. Nevertheless, the church members are meeting in their homes as some of you are doing in the States. The Lord is using this to strengthen the believers. We continue visiting and making disciples as we can. In times like this, we may question God. However, remember this: “Sometimes a storm in your life is what will blow you to the place you are longing to be”. – Beth Moore
We mentioned in our previous newsletter that two of our churches are under construction. Praise the Lord, the one in Sokode is finished. The Lord has fully provided for it. We continue working on the second one in Kara, Temple Shalom. We still need some financial assistance for this one.
We shared with you also the Lord’s provision for the vehicle. The vehicle arrived safely and we have been using it since March 19th.
We thank everyone for his / her thoughts, financial support, and prayers. Moreover, we are so grateful for the congregations’ kindness and thoughtfulness.
God, Whose grace is all sufficient, be glorified!
We assure you of our prayers, too. May His blessings be upon your life.
In the Service of the King of kings,
Pastor Paul & Nicole Assignon
