Beloved in the Lord Jesus,
We hope you are doing well by the grace of God.
This second quarter of 2019 year gives me the opportunity to share with you the many graces that the Lord has accomplished in our lives and ministry. We are very grateful and thankful to you so much for your support that allows us to continue to serve our Lord despite challenges. These past months have been very intense in activities and so rich in solicitations from churches. So the Lord has strengthened and supported us in everything. Thank you for your faithful prayers for us.
Many things happened in April and May, and we are so grateful to God for that.
On April 4th to 7th, we had our seminar for church leaders. The goal of this training was to equip emergent leaders to be able to serve the Lord according to God’s will.
On 20th we organized a collective marriage for the village’s couples who were not legally married before. We took contacts with our township mayor who appreciated our idea and helped us to organize this even. Eighteen couples had regulated their marriage that day; even the Muslims couples. This was a great testimony in the village, people said, ‘’you preach the gospel differently’’! Praise to the Lord!
We also celebrated the Easter in a pious thought on 21st. The week was punctuated by community meetings for worship and meditation of the word of God on the events that preceded the resurrection of Christ. These were moments of spiritual fervor and a reminder of our salvation cost. On Sunday morning we had the worship preceded by the baptism of three people who followed with diligence the courses for baptism’s preparation during several months.
The month of May began by an evangelism program. We went door-to-door in the village, sharing the gospel and distributing the gospel tracts. In the morning we met children, played with them and shared the gospel. Same in the afternoon, we met the youth and played soccer and shared the gospel. During a week our young people went to the area primary and high schools, sharing the gospel with pupils. Many people decided to follow Christ. So, we are still in contact with some of them with teachings so that to strengthen them in faith.
The last Sunday was devoted to the children who celebrated their day. It was a rich day in praises and thanksgivings to God. Children led the worship, sang, quoted the Bible verses and played theatre. It was a wonderful time we spent together.
Each of these events has been a time of spiritual renewal for us and we are very grateful to the Lord for that.
1. Please keep our country in your daily prayers. Since 2016 we are facing a hard security situation, with terrorist attacks every week. Since January 2019 churches are targeted; many pastors and Christians were killed, many people are refugees in other cities. We greatly need your prayers.
2. Pray for God to establish our ministry and make it strong and glorious
3. Pray for new believers, so that they will grow in their faith and become witnesses for their families and for all people.
4. Also pray for our financial needs: to achieve the construction of our primary school. Works stopped at the structural level. We pray for the Lord to provide 2,500 USD for the construction and 3,000 USD for the roof.
Thank you very much for your faithful prayers and financial support helping us to serve our Lord with joy and determination! Remain blessed in the unconditional name of Jesus!
